What does "Kawaii" mean?
The term 'Kawaii' is a Japanese word meaning 'cute', 'sweet' or 'pretty' - especially in the context of Japanese culture - but it also represents a joyful and light-hearted approach to life.
The word has been made popular in English, and is used to remark on the cute appearance of something.

What does "Lolita" mean?
In terms of fashion (and in short) 'Lolita' refers to a fashion subculture which originated in Japan, inspired by Victorian-era clothing.
This movement has expanded into a wide range of style types and themes, including 'Sweet Lolita', 'Gothic Lolita' and many others besides.
The fashion typically features lace items and large bows or headdresses as accessories.

What is resin?
Jewellery resin is liquid plastic which turns solid when a hardening solution is added. It is typically placed in shape moulds to harden.
Small items can be added and arranged within the resin-filled mould to create interesting items.

What is polymer clay?
Polymer clay is a sculptable plastic which hardens when baked. It is referred to as 'clay' only because its texture and workability are similar to that of mineral clay.

Is it safe to buy from you?
Yes, definately! I use the third-party payment processor 'PayPal' to take electronic payments, so I never have access to your bank/card details. Please know that you do not have to create a PayPal account to use the checkout system.
I also believe that a friendly and efficent approach to customer service is important, so I will always try to help with any problems or queries as quickly as possible.

Do you make everything yourself?
Everything on this website has been made by me. I use basic materials such as fabric, polymer clay or resin and combine them with purchased haberdashery or findings such as buttons, beads, ribbon, jewellery wire and chain to create a finished product.
The term 'handmade' includes the use of tools such as a sewing machine.

Do you take custom orders?
I am always willing to talk about doing a custom order, so do feel free to email me about it!
Please remember that there are many factors to consider such as the cost and availability of materials and time demands.
It is possible that I may be unable to take your order if any of these factors prevent me.
